Sister, Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, while not a maid of honour, also helped her sister with her train and her dress as she entered the church and helped muster page boys and flower girls.

Suits actress Meghan Markle was notably absent from Pippa Middleton and James Matthews marriage ceremony at St Mark's Church in Englefield today, though Prince Harry was in attendance.

The wedding of Kate Middleton's little sister was billed as a relaxed country affair, but from the look of the marquee that Pippa has installed in the back garden of her parent's house, the reception is set to be quite the event. Britain's Prince William and Prince Harry, right, arrive at St Mark's Church in Englefield, England, ahead of the wedding of Pippa Middleton and James Matthews, Saturday, May 20, 2017. She is said to be preparing for Saturday evening's festivities. Albeit a royal bride with more impressive guns than the British Army and Madonna combined.

She wore a stunning gown designed by Giles Deacon, complete with a veil and tiara. That was about where the similarities ended.

The Duchess escorted the youngest members of the bridal party into the 12th Century St Mark's Church in Berkshire, stopping occasionally to tell them to "shh" with her finger pressed to her lips.

Among the first high-profile guests to arrive at the ceremony included reality star Spencer Matthews, TV personality Donna Air and tennis star Roger Federer.

George, in beige breeches by Pepa & C, and Charlotte, looking resplendent in a floral garland, were joined by other bridesmaids Countess Philippa Hoyos, Lily French and Avia Horner.

The stunning six-tier cake by Fiona Cairns, who made the cake for the Royal Wedding, is thought to have cost up to £15,000, while the groom's party wore £900-a-pair hand-made shoes from Edward Green.
