Ahead of that press event, famed leaker Evan Blass (known as @evleaks on Twitter) has shared a collection of press renderings that, based on his past leaks, we can assume with high confidence are the real deal.

23 may in Shanghai will host a presentation from Microsoft on the new device from the Surface.

The device will look pretty much identical to 2015's Surface Pro 4, and won't offer much in the way of upgrades. Its latest model, the Surface Pro 4, is even expected to get a refresh next week.

Panos Panay may have said that the Surface Pro 5 does not exist, but that certainly does not mean there's not a Surface Pro 4 successor.

According to a report by Venture Beat, the refresh version of the Window 10-powered tablet will be known as Surface Pro. "There's no such thing as a Pro 5".

In February, Microsoft increased the price of its Surface devices in the United Kingdom, raising the cost of its Surface Book by up to £400, in response to currency fluctuations, following the country's Brexit referendum decision to leave the European Union.

It appears the new Surface Pro will be called just that, with no numeral.

The pics also show off some new Surface Pen and keyboard colors, which are similar to those of the new Surface Laptop that was unveiled at the beginning of the month at an event in New York City. Now it will be the default Type Cover for the new Surface Pro tablet. The changes come in the inside of the device. With the addition of Kaby Lake processors, it seems likely that Microsoft will have different configurations options available of the new Surface Pro.
