ANDY HALLIDAY (for Dodoo at half-time): Found it hard to get Rangers going as Celtic's stranglehold tightened. 5.

KIERAN Tierney celebrated a Celtic victory from the Ibrox stands earlier this season and gleefully doubled it up with a pitch party following the 5-1 thrashing of Rangers on Saturday.

"Aberdeen are well clear of us, so that suggests just how much work has to be done and how much better we'll need to be next season".

The 5-1 win was no reflection of the champions' superiority.

Following more bragging right over rivals Rangers, here is how jubilant Celtic fans reacted on Twitter to this afternoon's mauling...

He said: "It was quite special".

"He let me know a few weeks back his thoughts and what he'd seen and then it was just a case of getting things tied up with Stewart Robertson (managing director) and Andrew Dickson (director of finance and administration)".

Yet despite seeing his Rangers lose a derby clash at home by four goals for the first time in 119 years, Caixinha insisted his team had performed with passion. They tried something new and they couldn't touch us. "We just need to get better". We have had maybe two or three games in a row. Were they more physical?

"I remember the last game on Hogmanay I was in the crowd". We thought they might come for us in the first half.

Lustig's goal will stay with him for some time and he insisted it should not have come as such a surprise.

"I accidentally bet it twice", said Clare. I've had a different role this season. Midfielder Callum McGregor was inspirational and striker Leigh Griffiths was always a threat.

A telling factual oddity is that Celtic have scored more goals on their two visits to Ibrox than the combined total bagged on the same ground throughout the season by Garner and Martyn Waghorn, whose cumulative haul has been six. "So every one of us is fighting to stay here".

"We had a couple of moments, like the goal at the end, which typify it".

"Football is all about confidence".
