Pioli took over from Dutchman Frank De Boer two months into the campaign but the club risk falling short of their goal of earning a place in next season's European campaign.

Pioli had earned praise earlier in the campaign having overseen a sequence of seven successive league victories, but the team has performed woefully of late and are now in seventh place in Serie A, some 19 points adrift of leader Juventus.

Inter Milan have confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach, Stefano Pioli with three matches left in the season.

It was Inter's second managerial change of another disappointing season, with the club seventh in Serie A.

Stefano Pioli has been sacked as Internazionale manager, the club announced on Tuesday.

Stefano Pioli has been sacked by Inter Milan after only six months in charge having not gained victory in his last seven league matches.

"The current Primavera Coach, Stefano Vecchi, has been given the first team with immediate effect and for the three games still to play this season".

Now Football-Italia.net has revealed Inter are considering Chelsea's Antonio Conte, Atletico Madrid man Diego Simeone and AS Roma boss Luciano Spalletti for the permanent job. Usually, when you start a project with a new team you want to stay many years and to build something important with the club.
