Oscar victor Adrien Brody will also be added to the role call of the show and although not much is known about his character, showrunner Steven Knight believes no one else except The Pianist actor can portray him.

Controller BBC Drama Piers Wenger added about the upgraded casting, "The stellar cast Peaky Blinders continues to attract is testament to Steven Knight's incredible storytelling and the world-class production values of this original series".

Knight said: "He genuinely was the actor in my head when I wrote the part". No official air date for the next series of Peaky Blinders has been released.

Happy Valley actress Charlie Murphy will also team up with the gang.

The BBC recently revealed the tagline for the fourth series, which reads: "When he receives a mysterious letter on Christmas Eve, Thomas Shelby realises that the Peaky Blinders are in danger of annihilation".

Filming for season four of Peaky Blinders has already begun while we can expect Adien Gillen to return to our screens this July for Game Of Thrones season seven. Meanwhile, an old character is about to return in the person of Charlotte Riley.

Led by Cillian Murphy, the ensemble includes Adrien Brody, Tom Hardy, Charlie Murphy, Charlotte Riley, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Joe Cole, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, Aimee-Ffion Edwards and Kate Phillips.

It is rumoured the full cast have already begun shooting scenes for the next installment in Liverpool. As he flees his countryside home and returns to Birmingham, it's safe to say that it won't be a quite season for the Shelby boys. The Peaky Blinders style has some very famous fans in David Beckham and his son Brooklyn, but when it comes to his own style, Cillian isn't very adventurous and likes to keep it simple. "That's a great show".
