Absolutely Stunning New Poster for Alien: Covenant Released

A nightmare-fuelled, renaissance-style poster has been released by 20th Century Fox via Twitter for the hotly-anticipated Alien: Covenant.

The poster features every creature a fan of the Alien franchise could possibly want to see: alien warriors, face huggers, an engineer (originally known as the space jockey!), and even some not-so-subtle patterning up top which looks a little like the crown of the alien queen!

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. Soon they discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, risky world - whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. Let's cross the fingers so Alien Covenant, whose interview Ridley Scott confirmed in the interview, will take the same path as his famous predecessor to the delight of those who delight in the massacres perpetrated by the Xenomorphs.

Alien: Covenant hits theaters on May 19th, 2017.

The popular channel How It Should Have Ended made not one but two alternate endings to "Aliens", each one based on whether or not Ellen Ripley actually knew anything about science and Xenomorph behavioral patterns. Scott has gone on record saying he has a slew of sequels in mind that will expand and ultimately connect with his original masterpiece, but for now, let's just get around to seeing Alien: Covenant first.
