You can't keep a good giraffe down. Those who want to make a purchase on the portal are pointed to Target's site to complete the transaction, the discount retailer announced on Tuesday.

Toys "R" Us is back in time for your holiday toy-shopping needs. That means that, on top of reviews, the site will cover trends and even provide activity suggestions for kids.

"See something you'd like to buy that isn't available onsite?"

The Minneapolis-based company and Tru Kids Brands said Tuesday that Target will stock and fulfill orders for both the online and brick-and-mortar stores.

The Toy Insider editor in chief Marissa DiBartolo discusses the hottest toys on the market this holiday season. "The foundation of that strategy requires the help of a retail industry leader and Target is the ideal retailer to support a new Toys "R" Us shopping experience".

Target is just one in many partnerships Toys R Us has made during its much-heralded relaunch. Given that Amazon is often cited as the reason for Toys R Us's downfall, it seems like this could be a case of poetic justice under the Christmas tree if the gambit works out.

To further revive the brand, Toys R Us also plans to open two physical locations in Houston, Texas, and Paramus, New Jersey, where customers can check out new products.
