Dembele to miss Clasico with two-match ban

Barca appealed against Dembele's red card but the RFEF has dismissed their case and given the France worldwide a two-game ban.

Ousmane Dembele will miss this season's first Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid after he was banned for two matches by the Spanish football federation (RFEF) on Wednesday.

The RFEF issued a statement in which it stated that the RFEF regulator rejected the appeals made by the club: "Thus, in none of the cases is seen a manifest material error".

FC Barcelona have chose to appeal the suspensions given to Ousmane Dembele and Ronald Araujo from the 4-0 win over Sevilla.

Barcelona home Dembele's ban can be lowered to one game os that he plays against Real Madrid.

Ronald Araujo, a 20-year-old defender, and Gerard Pique both received one-match bans and will also miss the game against Eibar.

Ernesto Valverde's side started on a slow pace after recording losses to Athletic Bilbao and Granada, but have climbed back to second following their fifth win of the season.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo planted a peck on the side of Paulo Dybala's cheek during a post-match interview with journalists shortly after Juventus' 2-1 win over Inter Milan.
