Hy-Vee recalls some entrees for unlisted milk

Below is a list of the products being recalled.

Hy-Vee Inc., which produces Hy-Vee Mealtime Asian Entrees, said all impacted products are marked with a best-by date of September 14, 2019, or September 15, 2019.

The undeclared allergen is milk.

The product was distributed to Hy-Vee stores across Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, according to the release. Expiration dates can be found on the label on the top of the plastic lid.

20-oz. plastic packages of "HyVee. mealtime SESAME CHICKEN" bearing lot code 19250 with a Best If Used By date of 09/14/19 and lot code 19251 with Best If Used By date of 09/15/19.

20-oz. plastic packages of "HyVee. mealtime SWEET ORANGE CHICKEN" bearing lot code 19250 with a Best If Used By date of 09/14/19 and lot code 19251 with a Best If Used By date of 09/15/19. 51558 or P-51558 inside the USDA's mark of inspection.

Recalled products will have the establishment number EST.

Consumers are urged to check their refrigerators and freezers for the recalled chicken and beef meals. They should not be consumed. They should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Hy-Vee says all other Asian items of the same variety but with different Lot Codes are not included in this voluntary recall. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
