Amber was due to appear on last weekend's "Late Late Show" opposite Greg.

"The career and the distance is always a factor".

Love Island victor Greg O'Shea has taken quite the hit since dumping Amber Gill by text, in the form of losing a whopping 25,000 Instagram followers in the space of a few days- as it becomes very clear who people are siding with in the savage split. "People just want to sell stories".

'I'm trying to get to the Olympics with the sevens team, I've got my law exams coming up so we're both so jam-packed busy and you need to take these opportunities by the scruff of the neck. "That's where we are at the moment". During it, she claimed that Greg did end their relationship over text.

She revealed in an interview with Loose Women yesterday that she was disappointed that he called it quits.

"Obviously I'm really disappointed", Amber began. I wasn't expecting it. "It was always something that we knew about, so I don't know what changed. On that day I had to cancel because it wasn't working out".

"It's disappointing to see anyone part but you know what, maybe the long distance was a problem, I know Amber said she's disappointed but she such a strong girl, she's incredible", she told The Sun.

"She's going to be so successful, she's awesome and you know what, these things happen. Onwards and upwards from here".

"There was a call a few days prior - just chatting, not specifically to do with that", she told her fellow panellists.

"We're kind of being realistic about the situation and protecting our careers".

Five weeks after leaving the villa the Love Island victor confirmed that her Irish ex ended their relationship in a text conversation, after Gill asked for more effort from the rugby player.

He said: 'So we're mad about each other, what's not to be mad about?

"All I wanted was a bit of effort from him".

She added: 'I think I went in the villa with about 4,000 Instagram followers then I came out with 2 million and now I've got 3 million and it's insane and everyone recognises you, but I'm so happy.

"And I was just like, "Oh, I'm going to have to give up if you don't put the effort in".

'It makes me happy that I'm making people happy'.
