The 29-year-old singer claimed on Instagram that she had been told by a music executive she was too old to post sexy pictures on her social media account and, after vowing to "make [her] own rules", she received an outpouring of praise from a number of fellow female pop stars. "I'm exhausted of women getting labeled as "hags" when they get old and guys get labeled as sexy with age", she continued. Reflecting on her upcoming 30th birthday, the "I'm A Mess" artist explained that she's "not running away from" growing older. "I want to feel like I'm 17 again...' And I'm like, 'No, I want to write a song about being 30 and above'". "I'm gonna celebrate my age because you know what, I'm wiser, I'm stronger and TRUST ME I'm a much better lover than I was 10 years ago", the 29-year-old stated adamantly.

How old is Bebe Rexha?

Taylor Swift added, "DRAG THEM".

Of course, fans immediately threw their support behind Rexha and her empowering message.

Her post has gained about 1 million likes, so it's definitely striking a chord with people. Other celebrities were quick to cosign Rexha also.

"My sexy songwriting (queen emoji)", Ora commented.

Rita commented: "My sexy songwriting [crown emoji] You are lovely, getting sexier with age and your talent SINGS for itself".

The post even received ALL-CAPS support from T.Swift, who is also 29 years old.

Ne-Yo replied, "Amen mama❤️❤️" and The Chainsmokers commented two smiling heart-eyed emojis.

The "Call You Mine" singer went on to call out the pervasive ageism in the music industry, highlighting the toxic double standard where women in their late 20s and early 30s are condemned as "hags" while older men are celebrated as sexy.

Kudos to both of these talented musicians for standing up against ageist and sexist remarks. Everybody laughs, but it's true and especially me being in the music business - I've had executives tell me, 'Oh you're 25 - you're getting old.' And, now I'm 29 - I'm about to be 30. Sexiness and confidence don't equate to any specific age and women should be free to express both at any stage in their life. The talented and stunning Bebe Rexha was minding her own business when some "music exec" made a decision to give her some unsolicited advice about her brand and her image.
