The South Korean OEM looks set to launch an updated version of the LG G8 from earlier in the year alongside the dual-screen V60 it teased last week.

But the new teaser shows the minute hand moving freely through all three angles, showing that the dual screen for the upcoming V60 ThinQ can be used at any folded angle.

The Korean smartphone maker said the new phone had "free stop hinge" technology, created to add the ability to stop and hold the second screen at any position, like a laptop.

The South Korean company is making a lot of hype around the release of the LG G8X ThinQ.

Per the information provided today, both the global and South Korean versions should arrive powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855.

As per the report, the dual-screen accessory is said to feature an improved hinge alongside a brand new front notification system which will allow you to read notifications without even opening the accessory. We can assume that the biometric scanner has been moved under the display, while it also looks like LG is doing away with the multiple-camera setup that enabled the poorly-received Air Motion gestures and 3D Face Unlock.

Recently we heard rumors that a phone dubbed the LG G8X would be announced in September, likely at IFA 2019, and while not much was known about the handset, we may now have seen it in the form of leaked renders. The extra screen was an optional accessory that could be fixed onto a regular smartphone.
