The current Heat Advisory expires at 7 p.m. Monday before transitioning into the Excessive Heat Warning.

Hall County can expect high temperatures Tuesday, with the area under a heat advisory from the National Weather Service from noon to 8 p.m.

Counties in the warning are: Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan in Alabama, and Lincoln County in Tennessee.

Tuesday afternoon will feel like it's over 100°, and the heat index may even break 105°.

Forecasters say Rock Hill area residents and others in the Carolinas should heed safety precautions, with high heat and humidity expected for the first half of this week. If you have any of these symptoms then get to a cooler and air conditioned place, drink water and take a cool shower or use cold compresses. This is when we will also see our hottest temperatures with highs in at least the low to mid 90s. Please take the heat seriously and watch for signs of heat exhaustion.

Heat stroke is an emergency, Call 911.
