The cast will also include Cody Fern, Leslie Grossman, and Billie Lourd, who have all been a part of the franchise before.

The ninth season of the hugely popular anthology show American Horror Story returns this fall. Expect an homage to old-school slasher movies and something that is a little bit more grounded than the out-of-this-world American Horror Story: Apocalypse that we had this year. To celebrate the first day of shooting on American Horror Story's ninth season, Murphy took to Instagram today to share a killer teaser video of his cast in full '80s garb - and we gotta say, they look to be having an absolute blast modeling their gaudy period looks.

This season of AHS will be different than most; it will only feature Sarah Paulson in a very limited role. That series is an origin story for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest's villainous Nurse Ratchet, debuting next year on Netflix. The actor is now filming "Mrs. America" and "Ratched" for television, and in film she wrapped "Run" from Aneesh Chaganty, the animated-comedy "Abominable", "The Goldfinch", and starred in 2019's "Glass" from M. Night Shyamalan.

Check out the creepy-in-its-own-way runway show below, set to Dan Hartman's "I Can Dream About You" - and stay 'til the end for Lynch's not-so-gentle parting reminder that 1984 is still, y'know, a horror story. The show is scheduled to return on September 18th.
