America's Got Talent may have just found some new Broadway talent in performer Luke Islam.

Julianne Hough, who he credited as his favorite judge, hit her golden buzzer after the audition.

On Tuesday's installment of America's Got Talent, Julianne Hough hit the Golden Buzzer when she heard the 12-year-old crooner from NY perform a rendition of Sara Bareilles' "She Used to Be Mine".

A self-proclaimed Broadway fanatic, Luke Islam explained that he has seen a ton of Broadway musicals and enters the Broadway lotteries every weekend in hopes of getting a chance to see some of his favourite shows.

His parents explained that he has been singing since he was a toddler and began watching Broadway shows at the age of 6. He earned a standing ovation from the audience and full panel of judges: Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, and Howie Mandel. Showing the kind of confidence and vocal skill he's going to need to headline a Broadway show, the stunning young singer didn't hesitate for a moment before belting out "She Used to Be Mine" from the hit show Waitress. Lee performed "A Song for You".

Hough wiped away tears after his performance, praising the "essence inside [him]".

Before taking the stage, Islam opened up a little to host Terry Crews in a pre-taped package that explored his passion for music and theater.

She smashed the buzzer and Luke fell to the stage, crying as confetti rained down around him. "I never expected something like this to happen my whole life". "I'm so grateful. Thank you so much!"

Cowell chose Tyler Butler-Figueroa, an 11-year-old violinist from North Carolina.
