Kevin Durant to Wear Number 7 With The Brooklyn Nets

Kevin Durant is making a lot of changes this offseason.

"We're thankful to Kevin for the incredible things he did for our team and franchise during his three years with the Warriors", Golden State general manager Bob Myers said.

Durant is likely to miss the entire 2019-2020 season as he recovers from his ruptured Achilles, so fans will have to wait a year to see him dawn his new jersey alongside teammate Kyrie Irving. The two players grew close together, along with DeAndre Jordan who also joined them with the Nets, thanks to Team USA and wanted to play together, and when the opportunity to play together came up they took it. In five postseason contests, he averaged 19.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.40 steals in 29.6 minutes. "We wish him the best moving forward". The Nets tweeted a picture of the West Orange, N.J., product signing his contract. However, once he does return, he could make the team a serious contender in the Eastern Conference.

"We are very pleased to welcome Bojan and his family to our organization", Jazz executive vice president of basketball operations Dennis Lindsey said.

The whole free agency theory was the Knicks were going to sign Durant after securing a top draft pick and have enough cap to sign another max deal player like Irving, Kawhi Leonard or Kemba Walker. They also re-signed Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney.

Durant led the Warriors to a pair of National Basketball Association titles in three seasons with the team and was named Finals MVP for both of Golden State's championship runs during his tenure. He'll don No. 11, which hadn't been worn since the Nets traded their all-time leading scorer Brook Lopez for Russell.
