Call of Duty: Modern Warfare full multiplayer reveal coming August 1

Below are the Twitch channels of the confirmed people livestreaming the Modern Warfare multiplayer gameplay reveal! They're busy showing off Gunfight, a new 2 vs 2 competitive mode played on tiny maps where loadouts change every round.

Gunfight is unlike the other multiplayer modes found in the previous Call of Duty games. The first team of two players to reach six wins in total takes the victory and all players are given the same loadout of guns and gear to ensure an even playing field.

We had a chance to play Gunfight last month during Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare preview event, and the mode was impressive.

Activision showed the first three maps for Gunfight: a warehouse called King, a dense forest called Pine and a desert container yard called Stack. We played on King, which was small enough that it was nearly impossible to avoid encounters, but just large and diverse enough that you could give your enemies the slip just long enough to create ambushes. Hopefully, that means we get a ton of new and official info regarding perks, weapons and more. And since rounds are all over within about a minute, battles become just as much about mind games as about covering your teammate.

In the mode, two players are pitted against two other players in an extremely fast-paced match.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 1, at 10 am Pacific Time when Activision and Infinity Ward will reveal the multiplayer universe of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The full reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer will be held on August 1 through a Twitch livestream.
