The resemblance between Target's Deal Days marathon and the 2019 Amazon Prime Day festival are striking and pretty much impossible to ignore, but just like eBay, Target is embracing and even inviting comparisons, highlighting its biggest advantage over the competition.

This year, despite its name, Prime Day is happening on two days: Monday and Tuesday. The made-up holiday, first held in 2015, has become one of Amazon's busiest shopping days, offering discounts on gadgets, TVs and other goods.

Prime Day starts Monday, July 15, but plenty of deals are available right now.

It can help cut down on overspending, according to Steinman.

"You have some time to cool off, " he says.

To avail the "Youth Offer" on Prime memberships, users have to sign up for the Prime annual membership from the "youth offer" banner by paying Rs 999 with any electronic payment method (credit card, debit card, net banking or Amazon pay balance).

Take note that unless it's available for in-store pickup, shipping will cost extra unless you spend at least $35.

That's 12 hours longer than last year's already extended 36-hour Prime Day, during which Amazon sold more than 100 million products in 17 countries.

It's almost here. One of the biggest online retail events of the year, Prime Day, is just around the corner and it is crucial that you don't miss out on all the Amazon Prime Day game deals.

Amazon's primary rival Walmart has joined forces with Google to offer pre-Prime Day deals on a range of smart home devices now through July 17.

Use price-tracking websites, such as CamelCamelCamel or Keepa, to see how the price of an item has changed on Amazon over time. You only get one free trial per email address, and you have to manually cancel before 30 days if you don't want to be charged.

"Just because something is on sale", said Skirboll, "doesn't mean it's a great deal".
