Players have created over 2 million levels on ‘Super Mario Maker 2’

Week over week we saw incredible new creations that raised the bar with what could be done with the tools available in the original Super Mario Maker.

It seems that the success has carried to its Nintendo Switch sequel, with the company's American division tweeting its thanks to players for creating and uploading over 2 million courses for Super Mario Maker 2 in less than two weeks after release. Whether it be a Bullet Bill, powerups, or lava, each level is going to challenge players differently. Of course, not everyone will have a good design, but it is still a milestone for the game and for Nintendo.

Super Mario Maker 2 has a fervent community. Anybody can create a level - and if the variety of uploads is any indication - everybody has tried. User-created levels can range from brilliant creations by world-class gamers to something your five-year-old cousin could beat in under 20 minutes.

It's not that intricate, well-designed or even fun of a level, and it does beg questions about the moral lines between advertising and created in-game content, but at least Arby's isn't dragging people on Twitter like other brands! If you've started the Story Mode, you've likely realized there are tons of Super Mario Maker 2 Story Mode levels, but just how many levels are there?
