Kanye West is building 'Star Wars'-themed low income houses

As part of his Forbes cover story that landed earlier this week, Kanye West also took part in a video interview that dives into how he goes about designing new Yeezy sneaker silhouettes.

A laundry list of adjectives are often used to describe rapper Kanye West, but thankfully, "boring" is never one of them.

While his ideas seem far-fetched and even insane to some, it seems that Kanye's creative process has brought him success. The structures can reportedly be sunk into the ground, with light coming in from the top.

"People wondered, 'Why did you tweet at Mark Zuckerberg?' And I was like, 'Hey, I heard he was looking for aliens, '" West said.

West is personally involved in the project, overseeing a team that is putting together the designs for the low cost homes. Whether the structures O'Malley reported eventually evolve into another genre-changing product line from West-like his Yeezy shoes-or whether this will become another of the mercurial creator's earnestly started, but ultimately unrealized, concepts can't be determined at this stage. We'll have to see these homes for ourselves before we pass judgment, but we certainly can't fault West for taking inspiration from one of our favorite series.
