Jason Momoa is known for his muscular physique, which the often-shirtless actor has proudly displayed in such projects as "Game of Thrones" and "Aquaman".

Some fans even suggested that the star's abs in the Aquaman film had been "faked".

Far from being isolated incidents, these jokes about Momoa's so-called "dad bod" only highlight the fact that body-shaming is very much a problem among men as well as women, with public figures deemed "fair game" when it comes to criticisms of their appearance.

"Omg, what happened to the abs?" one user asked.

Many others chimed in to defend Jason's alleged "dad bod".

The positive messages were quick to appear as well. The people in question claimed that he had "gained weight" and now had a 'dad bod'. Y'all wish you looked like that. Fans began to laugh with the actor, wrote comments that he was fat, while comparing with animals.

One Twitter user sagely wrote: "How about we don't body shame Jason Momoa or anybody for that matter no matter their gender be kind and respectful please because looks are superficial and have no meaning".

Fans of Jason Momoa saw a belly in their idol, which clearly protruded.

Twitter is definitely a insane, crazy place sometimes but it is definitely very nice to see that so numerous actor's fans were quick to come to his defense.
