The youngster turned down the offer of a professional contract with West Brom to continue his football education with the famous Spanish side.

Louie Barry's performances for West Brom's youth teams had caught the attention of some of Europe's top clubs and Barcelona have won the race to sign the 16-year-old.

The 16-year-old is one of the hottest, young prospects in the English game and Barcelona have confirmed that he will play for their Under 19's squad next season.

Previous year he scored 10 goals in five games for England U15s during a tournament in Italy.

Barry first rose to prominence previous year when he scored 10 goals in five games for England Under-15s at a tournament in Italy.

He comes with global experience despite his age and will no doubt flourish in Spain to further enhance his growing reputation.

Much like with the disputed case of Declan Rice, Barry has also been the subject of his dual nationality, turning out for both England and Ireland's respective global teams, but it now seems clear that he has chosen to represent England on a permanent basis following some deliberation.
