Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order extended cut gameplay walkthrough

We got our very first look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order during EA Play, but a handful of journalists present at the event were lucky enough to see and play an extended gameplay demo.

The first 10 minutes of the extended demo are new to most viewers, and this section shows a few ideas and elements which were missing from or glossed over in the E3 2019 demo. Unlike the original version, which suggested a linear, Uncharted-esque sequence, this demo, almost double the length, shows the open-ended metroidvania nature of Fallen Order.

The gameplay's obviously reminiscent of the Uncharted series, but those who've played through it have also pointed out similarities to Metroid and Dark Souls, two games whose exquisite level design are never invoked lightly.

Cal's confidence introducing himself as a Jedi aspirant during the story moments here are interesting, as are the glimpses we get at Fallen Order's interplanetary navigation system, which can be seen at the 8:50 mark in the full video below. It includes over 26 minutes of gameplay for your perusal.

The new footage also demonstrates just how far Cal will be able to explore within the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and according to EA it will not feature any multiplayer modes or microtransactions, will not have any planned DLCs, and will be exclusively focused on a single-player experience.

Based on what the new demo shows below, are you excited for what the game has in store?
