Or you could take the easy way out by purchasing pre-minced garlic. The video posted on social media shows someone using a knife, or a pointed blade, to stab the individual cloves from the head.

Some people say they have found success popping out fresh garlic cloves, while others say they have struggled to peel the garlic effectively.

Chrissy Teigen, who is married to musician John Legend, watched the video and tweeted, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT", seemingly sharing Twitter's reaction.

One woman on the internet shared her hack that makes peeling garlic super simple.

The clip shows someone holding a piece of garlic upside down, expertly stabbing it with a knife on the diagonal and removing a clean bulb.

The reaction to the video just keeps on coming and many see it as a game-changer: "I'm 33 years old". It's too late for me.

"Not sure how I never knew about this". I've lost no less than 4 years of my life peeling garlic.

But after trying out the hack for themselves, many curious fans were left brutally disappointed, labelling the technique as "a lie".

Other people also commented on the video calling the hack "life changing" and a "game changer" for cooking all future recipes.

Another who claimed to have attempted it for herself said, "We have tried it in our office and it DOES NOT WORK".

However, other Twitter users pointed out that this method could be unsafe in the wrong hands.

"It does [work]!" the user wrote.

Since it was shared less than two days ago, the clip has been viewed more than 7.5 million times, proving just how in awe the internet is.

'God really should have given us an instruction manual cuz it couldn't have been this easy to peel garlic, ' one person wrote.
