Syfy's Krypton, following the exploits of Superman's grandfather, Seg-El, has its second season kickoff on June 12, and one of the aspects of this year's batch of episodes that has many people talking is the appearance of the bounty hunter Lobo. Lobo is usually portrayed as one of the strongest and most unsafe characters in the DC Universe, as well as one of the most foul-mouthed personalities.

Krypton executive producer Cameron Welsh will serve as executive producer/writer.

Warner Horizon Scripted Television will be developing Lobo with Syfy, and it will follow the titular character, an intergalactic bounty hunter who is foul-mouthed and extremely unsafe.

SYFY is now developing a spinoff series featuring Lobo, the DC Comics character who will be making an appearance in Krypton Season 2, Variety has confirmed. I imagine his inclusion in Krypton will provide that show with a shot in the arm from audiences who may otherwise have never tuned in, and it says something about the network's belief in the character that they've already given this character a spin-off without even seeing audience reaction to him yet.

DC Comics fan-favorite Lobo is an indestructible deep-space bounty hunter who looks like a biker version of Beetlejuice, grouses like Wolverine, and has amassed an interstellar body count that would make The Mandalorian envious. The series has averaged about 1.8 million viewers a week, breaking records for the network.

Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe, Georgina Campbell, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Aaron Pierre, Ian McElhinney, and Shaun Sipos.
