But vaccines don't prevent measles alone, as a Twitter user sadly wrote, "As an adult living with a disability from a vaccine-preventable illness I got as a toddler, I wont do anything that gives [Jessica] a single dollar you can use to imperil more kids".

SB 276, which is now under review, is a California state bill that seeks to limit medical exemptions from vaccinations.

Most cases in the United States have emerged in communities with low rates of vaccination against the virus, according to public health officials. In a series of nine photos together, Robert F. Kennedy's son gave a peek at his day with the 7th Heaven actress as they met with California lawmakers like Autumn Burke to lobby against SB-276.

The bill would require "the State Public Health Officer or the public health's officer's designee to approve or deny a medical exemption request, upon determining that the request provides sufficient medical evidence that the immunization is contraindicated or that a specific precaution regarding a particular immunization exists, based on guidelines of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)", the bill states.

When asked to describe Biel's involvement, Kennedy Jr. explained to The Daily Beast the actress is "for safe vaccines and for medical freedom".

Kennedy told The Daily Beast that he opposes the political red tape that he and Biel believe would force children to receive vaccinations. She knows what she's talking about... "She's upset about this issue because of its particular cruelty", Kennedy Jr. told the outlet. On the note of disease outbreaks, a third fan dragged Jessica's husband into the mix: "Justin Timberlake brought sexy back, and his wife Jessica Biel wants to bring measles back".

A representative for Biel did not immediately respond to CNN's request for clarity on Biel's views on vaccines. It's awesome to have incredible partners and advocates for parental rights like her!

A well-known anti-vaccination activist, Kennedy has stirred controversy by writing articles and publishing books on the claim that vaccinations cause autism, a claim refuted by scientists.

The scientific consensus is that vaccines do NOT cause autism, but Robert proudly chairs the Children's Health Defense - which alleges a government conspiracy that vaccines 'cause autism, ADHD, food allergies, cancer, and autoimmune diseases'.
