The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is now official and it will be surprising if the little fitness tracker doesn't reach similar sales heights as its predecessor, which apparently sold over one million units in India alone (and five to 10 million worldwide depending on the report). The third-gen Mi Band has been quite popular. The Mi Smart Band 3 was a steal at just £20, and while the price has been jacked up by 75 per cent, it's still super cheap compared to what's out there right now and seems like it'll do the job. "The most visible upgrade is its larger 0.95" colour display that pushes 120×240 pixels resolution on an AMOLED screen. The screen has a brightness of 400 nits and it is protected by a 2.5D tempered glass. The Band 4 has 39.9% more display area due to the use of a two-layer capacitive touch panel, unlike the previous generation.

The display can be customized with over 77 themes and can be paired with complementing wrist-bands that are offered in various colours.

You can also expect all the sports ready software for your fitness activities. On top of that, it has improved the 6-axis high-precision sensor that intelligently identifies various types of swimming strokes such as Medley, Butterfly stroke, Backstroke, and more. The tracker is also equipped with a PPG heart rate monitor which analyses the pulse in real-time and alerts the wearer if it registers unusual activity. This also means you can control Xiaomi smart home appliances through your smartband. Xiaomi has also prepared a special edition Avengers variant that is priced at 349 yuan (US$50). The limited edition set comes with additional bands and it is priced at 329CNY (about RM199).

At last, the new Mi Band has an NFC version, which comes with Xiao Ai voice assistant. Mi Band 4 Avengers edition will go on sale for CNY349 (~Rs 3,500).
