Publisher En Masse Entertainment and developer BonusXP announced turn-based strategy RPG The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC during the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct.

The reveal shows a Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle style grid war with Gelflings fighting, and seems to feature famous characters like various Skeksis or the crazy-eyed fortune teller Aughra, who also fronts the trailer. Like the original 1982 film, "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" will use puppets created by Jim Henson Co.'s Creature Shop and Brian Froud, the original film's conceptual designer. Thus, battles are highly replayable, and after completing the game players can also challenge a New Game+ mode with more hard versions of the battles. Here's hoping it's at least a trip down memory lane.

It's set to launch in 2019 around the new TV series of the same name coming to Netflix on August 30.
