Sporting owner Frederico Varandas wants to raise €90 million from Fernandes and teammate Marcos Acuna in order to finance the club's incoming transfer business this summer.

Fernandes scored 32 goals and provided 18 assists for Sporting during the 2018-19 season, including three goals and two assists in the UEFA Europa League.

Fernandes helped Portugal to win the inaugural Nations League on Sunday, and speaking after the game, the midfielder delivered an update about his future. We all know that the newspapers sometimes create a spectacle to sell themselves. I think he's got a little bit more quality in the final third than what they [Liverpool] have right now, so I think Bruno Fernandes would be a good addition.

"If the opportunity comes to go to a team that you can't refuse, I'll talk to Sporting".

Manchester United, Tottenham and Inter Milan are interested in the free-scoring midfielder.

They finished sixth in the table and without a trophy under the Norwegian coach last term.
