Liverpool demand £25m for Dejan Lovren

AC Milan are set to lose Cristian Zapata on a free transfer, and there are injury worries surrounding Mattia Caldara, meaning centre back is a problem position for the Serie A side.

According to the same source, Milan have started preliminary negotiations with the agent of the player, as Lovren could leave Anfield Road this summer and could represent an addition for the new Milan of Marco Giampaolo.

Last season, the Croatian global defender only made 18 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions.

According to The Times journalist Paul Joyce, Liverpool will only sell Lovren for a minimum of £25m.

Lovren played 18 times in all competitions for Liverpool last season, 13 of which coming in the Premier League.

Joel Matip was the main partner for Virgil van Dijk at the heart of Jurgen Klopp's defence.

However, the reporter has indicated that Milan's interest appears to genuine.

Liverpool would only consider selling Dejan Lovren this summer should an offer of at least £25 million be submitted for the defender. No contact from AC Milan, but their prospective new sporting director Ricky Massara rates Lovren highly.
