"Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be", she said of their relationship.

In a new interview with the U.K.'s Sunday Times, the actress opened up about her and Falchuk's unique living situation. "Haters don't mean anything to me because they are not my people".

'What if I'd been 30? 20?

And it seems the unorthodox living arrangement has the stamp of approval from Paltrow's intimacy coach, who told her that it gives their marriage "polarity". "Twenty? Still, I can only imagine in my fifties how much better it is all going to get".

She went on: 'I see so many famous people who are exempt from life, who've set up this construct where they don't really have to risk anything.

Gwyneth Paltrow may have coined yet another new concept with a recent revelation to the Sunday Times, via Today: She and husband Brad Falchuk, whom she married in September, don't always live together.

"I don't want to be exempt", she added. Falchuk sleeps at his nearby home when his children from a previous relationship, Brody and Isabella, are staying over, and on the other four nights of the week, he stays with Paltrow.

The Goop founder also spoke about the "family honeymoon" they took to the Maldives at Christmas, during which they were accompanied by all their children, and Gwyneth's ex-husband Chris Martin and his partner Dakota Johnson.

More than two months after their marriage, the actress said they were yet to move in together as they had not merged their families at the time.

"She also pointed to some of her Hollywood peers as not escaping that bubble. With teenage kids, you've got to tread lightly", she said. If you're not drinking the same Kool-Aid, it can be tough.
