Some shoppers queued before the shops even opened and some for over six hours - meaning Build-A-Bear were forced to end the promotion early. "Please refer to our website for info about a voucher for our Bonus Club members".

Those who are not yet Bonus Club members can sign up for the program and complete a birthday profile in order to enter the Count Your Candles sweepstakes and Pay Your Age limited ticket offer, redeemable in stores only.

Most furry friends available for purchase are included with the ticket, with some exclusions.

Guests will be able to make one furry friend per child present, with a limit of two furry friends per ticket.

Build-A-Bear is back with another "Pay Your Age" event at select locations and on select dates between June 24-28. Those who entered will receive an email by June 21 on whether they were given a ticket or not. Redemption period runs from June 24-28.

Due to last year's overwhelming response to the "Pay Your Age" offer, the rules have changed this time around. Build-A-Bear at the time said it had to cut off lines at its US stores after local authorities required outlets around the country to limit crowd sizes.

- Build-A-Bear Workshop is holding another "Pay Your Age" event, but this time there are restrictions and not every child will get a cuddly new bear. "We have closed lines in our USA stores".
