Apple's New Windows 10 iCloud App Now Available in MS Store

Apple has released a new version of iCloud for Windows 10 in the Microsoft Store, according to a recent blog post by Microsoft and a handful of Apple customer support documents.

When launched, users will be asked what type of content they would like to integrate with Windows 10.

Both the versions of iCloud offer the same set of functionalities.

The latest Apple iCloud for Windows is available now on the Microsoft Store.

Once configured, you can access various features by clicking on the Taskbar icon.

"If you use iCloud for Windows 10, you can use iCloud Drive to initiate shared files or to optimize files". Fortunately, the app leverages the File System mostly so its Apple-like design is hidden from users for the most part.

The new iCloud app allows you to access your iCloud Drive files right from File Explorer and you don't have to save the files. Alternatively, the app allows users to choose the files and folders to be stored on the PC.

Share any file right from File Explorer and easily collaborate with others-edits will be synced across your devicesInterestingly, Microsoft says the new iCloud app is "powered by the same Windows technology that also powers OneDrive's Files On-Demand feature"-an unexpected technical and corporate partnership".
