E3 2019: Outriders Is the Next Game From Bulletstorm Dev, Coming 2020

After an initial cryptic teaser, People Can Fly and Square Enix revealed Outriders during Square Enix's E3 2019 conference. There wasn't much to make from the short tease then, but we now know what it's about.

Even though People Can Fly aren't ready to show us much of the game yet, it's a pretty intriguing concept. and even though they're not ready to show us much of it yet, it still looks pretty exciting. The game is a drop-in/drop-out cooperative multiplayer shooter that will allow people to form a party of up to three players.

People May Fly is, of course, the studio behind the excellent Bulletstorm and the interesting Gears of War spin-off, Judgement. "It's a game we wanted to make for a very long time". We're very happy to be working with Square Enix on this project, it's a big undertaking for us and the team has grown considerably to work on the OUTRIDERS project.

Pitched as the team's most ambitious shooter to date, it'll be an experience with a major focus on narrative. We have staff in our United Kingdom office and on the ground in Los Angeles who are working hard to bring you the best reporting on the internet on the biggest and most exciting week in gaming news. Players can expect to see the new IP heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Summer 2020.

"Outriders is a 1-3 player, drop-in-drop-out, co-op shooter, set in an original dark and desperate sci-fi universe", today's announcement says.
