Interestingly, the teaser on Twitter didn't mention 16GB but it's nearly a given, however, the other curiosity is that whether we could get extra storage with it. Earlier today, the official Redmi Twitter account shared a teaser hinting at a new variant with more storage.

Xiaomi has taken the wraps off the Redmi 7A making it the most budget-friendly option in the series. It's the same hashtag that Redmi used to promote this entry-level smartphone in the country. On paper, it's more powerful and efficient than the Snapdragon 712 processor that's found on the Mi 9 SE. It's built around a 5-inch HD display and runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition). The handset comes in two configurations - 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB and both device's storage can be expanded up to 256GB more with a microSD card.

Based on yesterday's leak, the Redmi K20 Pro model with a Snapdragon 855 processor will be priced from 2,599CNY (about RM1,577) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant while the top spec model with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at 2,999CNY (about RM1,820).
