Benjamin Quarez, who works for France's version of Goal, is reporting Manchester United have submitted an initial offer for Moussa Dembele. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wasn't just interested in what happened on the pitch, and wanted to find out about the player's attitude.

Dembele is contracted to Lyon until 2021 meaning the Ligue 1 side, who secured Champions League football for next season with their 4-0 win over Caen last time out, are in a strong position in negotiations.

The French outfit could recoup double the amount they paid for Moussa Dembele in the summer should Manchester United step up their interest.

The striker would fit in with Solskjaer's model for signings this summer. This might force the Norwegian to go with Dembele and Martial up front, changing his tactics completely.

A Paris Saint-Germain youth product, Dembele scored 51 goals in 94 appearances for Celtic - winning back-to-back trebles under Brendan Rodgers. He is a lethal man in front of the goal, but he requires services which United have lacked in recent months.

The former Everton striker has struggled to make a sustained and consistent impact at United since his big-money move in 2017 and has recently been speaking about his "dream" to one day play in Serie A. But, the club must sign a right winger before going in search for a striker.
