The 21-year-old Serbia worldwide striker has signed a five-year contract with the Spanish giants, which will earn him £43.7m (€50m) in total or £8.7m a year.

Luka Jović has scored 27 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt this campaign, a season in which he also saw his loan move from Portuguese club Benfica turn permanent.

It's been rumoured for a while that Los Blancos were interested in signing Jovic and after the season he's had, it's easy to understand why.

The future of several Real players now at the club remains uncertain, with Zidane set to oversee a squad overhaul after returning to the club earlier this year.

Jovic and Frankfurt are competing for a Champions League place on the final day of the Bundesliga season and will probably need a result at Bayern Munich, who themselves are going for the title.

It wasn't just domestically that Jovic was impressing either.

Chelsea got a first-hand look at the quality of Jovic in their Europa League semi-final when they faced Frankfurt.

In that tie, Jovic scored twice against the Blues, once in each fixture.

Real Madrid are expected to add one of the top young scorers in the world next week in Luka Jovic.

With Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid set for a squad overhaul ahead of next season, the LaLiga giants are reportedly close to signing their next player, who is considered to be Marcelo's long-term replacement.
