We also learn more about her.

A Persona 5 RPG is coming to Switch, but from a wholly unexpected source. The first new character is one we've seen before, though we haven't gotten any information on her until now. The most significant is a new semester of school to play though, which - presumably - will add a fair few more hours of story to the game. While she admires the protagonist, however, she isn't interested in the Phantom first. A new main character is available named Kasumi Yoshizawa.

Additionally, there's a new confidant for the Phantom Thieves joining the cast named Takuto Haruki.

At the end of the trailer, there's a quick glimpse of what appears to be a new character who's likely to be central to the plot of Persona 5 Scramble.

A new location, Kichijoji, will also make an appearance.

There's also a new soundtrack with new tunes from composer Shoji Meguro, including vocal songs for the opening, ending, and battle music with vocals by Lyn.

Presumably we'll either get more news today, or Atlus will drop a full reveal tomorrow, as previously planned.

Announced during the lengthily-titled 'Persona Super Live P-Sound Street 2019: Welcome to No. Q Theater!' concert, The Royal is comparable to Persona 4: Golden in its enhancements. Niconico premium members can tune in starting at 6:00 AM, while everyone else can watch beginning at 6:30 AM.

The new trailer for Persona 5 The Royal gave fans of arguably the best JRPG of this generation plenty to get excited about. The next bit of information will come out on May 9th. Ideally, it will be both - Persona 5: The Royal for Nintendo Switch. The Royal release date is October 31, 2019 in Japan with a US, Europe, and Asia release window of early 2020.
