Samsung may have pushed back the launch of its Galaxy Fold, but it has another stupid expensive flagship phone to launch: the Galaxy S10 5G. You'll be able to pre-order 5:55AM Eastern (2:55AM Pacific). The Verizon Galaxy S10 5G can be had for $54.16/mo or $1,299.99 if you only need 256GB of storage. At a first glance, the 5G-enabled Galaxy S10 is. certainly not cheap, fetching $1,299.99 in a 256GB variant and $1,399.99 with a massive 512 gigs of internal storage space. We also discovered hints at a 5G Note 10 in the Galaxy S10's kernel source, and now Verizon has confirmed the inevitable. Oh, and the big guy is available in Majestic Black and Crown Silver colors. Delivery is indeed scheduled for May 16.

Switching to Verizon and purchasing the S10 5G on a device payment plan coupled with a Verizon Unlimited subscription, meanwhile, will also get you a $200 prepaid MasterCard card. For one, there will be a pre-order "Samsung VIP Kit" involved that includes a pair of Galaxy Buds, Samsung Wireless Charging Battery Pack, and a Verizon 5G water bottle. Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband service can only be had with its "Above" and "Beyond" unlimited plans, but it's included for free (a $10/month value) for a limited time.

You can pre-order the Galaxy S10 5G from Verizon's official website, as well as at Samsung's online store, Samsung Experience Stores, and Best Buy. Keep in mind that the 5G-capable model sports both a larger 6.7-inch screen and a heftier 4,500 mAh battery (compared to the 6.4-inch S10+ with a 4,100 mAh cell), but that doesn't necessarily mean endurance times between charges will be longer.

Unfortunately, we still don't know the full price of the S10 5G at this point, but should in a few hours. We're told that the previously rumored May 16 launch date is correct.
