WWE made irrefusable offer to Undertaker

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave more insight in the on-going situation between Taker and Vince McMahon. That's when the compromise was made with Foley coming in to discuss his history with Taker each night.

WWE legend Undertaker was scheduled to appear at Starrcast before AEW Double or Nothing for an autograph and photo signing and also had a speaking engagement lined up with the company as well.

It was thought at first that there is no way that Undertaker would so Starrcast and that was the tipping point for Vince McMahon. The new deal essentially prevents other companies from booking Taker but he will keep his Starrcast commitment and will still do the meet and greet for Inside The Ropes.

Now, it turns out the reason Undertaker had to pull out was that he has a new contract with WWE. Taker was approached by promoters for WrestleMania 35 Week appearances, including WrestleCon, but he had already agreed to do the post-WrestleMania RAW appearance.

The Undertaker is likely wrestling again the next time WWE goes to Saudi Arabia. The amount of money being paid by WWE certainly has to be a good amount considering he was making at least $25,000 an hour to sign autographs. He considers Starrcast to be connected to AEW since it takes place over Double or Nothing weekend.

Taker had other offers for appearances, including one from Wrestlecon, but his new WWE contract prevents him from booking additional appearances.

The former WWE Champion was originally set to do some live Q&A talk shows with Inside The Ropes, but it was recently announced that Mick Foley will be replacing him.
