Westeros officially has an 11th-hour contender for the Iron Throne: Sesame Street's Elmo. Of all the Game of Thrones season 8 theories we had, this was not one of them. The ticklish puppet stars in a new mashup between the two HBO programs.

The friendly red resident of Sesame Street crossed over into Game of Thrones (thanks to the shows' shared network, HBO) to finally settle the strife between Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and his sister Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady).

As Cersei and Tyrion bicker, Elmo of Sesame Street pulls up a chair to explain the importance of listening and learning when faced with disagreements, and even gets Cersei to agree to take a break from incest and murder to try. "When Elmo has a problem with his friends like Abby or Cookie Monster, Elmo doesn't get upset". Tyrion is immediately convinced by Elmo's call for respect - but, unsurprisingly, it's a bit more hard to get Cersei on board with the idea.

The "Respect Brings Us Together" campaign will roll out throughout the year. Even the heartless queen of King's Landing can not resist the furry resident of Sesame Street, as she capitulates.

Sesame Street is now in the middle of its 49th season, which airs Saturdays on HBO. Then, let us know what you think about the appearance of Elmo in King's Landing in the comments section below.
