Interestingly, the last few months have seen YouTube's 24-hour viewing record smashed more times than avocado in a trendy café, with Ariana Grande setting a record of 50.3 million views back in December, in turn dethroning BTS" "Idol' as the record-holder.

On Saturday night, YouTube confirmed the official record, which is now set at 78 million.

The ARMYs (including a major chunk from India, who helped the album and video release hashtags trend on Twitter) were at the forefront and made it their mission to smash not only the 24-hour streaming record, but also add a major win in the boy's kitty.

The music video, which features Halsey, has since received over 100 million views on the video platform.

This week, the comedy skits, starring host Emma Stone, are likely to come in second to the musical performances by BTS, the first South Korean musical act to perform on the NBC show.

BTS debuted a live performance of "Boy With Luv" on Saturday Night Live for their first ever appearance on the show.

BTS and Halsey are performing their collaboration "Boy With Luv" at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards for the first time together.
