Lance Allan of TODAY'S TMJ4 reports that older brother Sam Hauser and younger brother Joey Hauser are both departing Marquette.

"We are thankful for all that Sam and Joey contributed to our program and University during their time at Marquette and wish them the best of luck in the future", head coach Steve Wojciechowski said in a statement. The brothers plan to transfer to the same program, too.

Sam Houser has already scored over 1,200 career points in college; during the 2018-19 campaign, he averaged 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds (19.5 percent defensive rebound rate).

This comes as fairly shocking news, as Marquette is being listed as a top 10 team in most of the preseason top 25 polls.

"I want to thank Marquette University for the countless opportunities it has granted me with over the past three years", Sam Hauser wrote on Twitter.

Joey Hauser is a 6-foot-9 forward with one season of eligibility left. At 6-foot-8, Hauser is an excellent shooter (40.2 3P%, 57.6 eFG% this season) and fringy National Basketball Association prospect.

Joey, a 6-foot-9 freshman, averaged 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in his first season at Marquette. He also shot 42.5 percent from 3.
