Manchester United's two biggest rivals, Liverpool and Manchester City, are locked in a tight race for the championship.

Luke Shaw is suspended for the match against Barcelona after receiving a yellow card in the first leg at Old Trafford but the left-back is with United's squad.

Also traveling alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the team to Barcelona is Sir Alex Ferguson, United's former chief executive David Gill, and current executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

"I was chatting with Phil Bardsley, and I'm going to drop a name here, he was sat with Sir Alex Ferguson", Former Ireland global Jon Walters told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast.

"I was chatting with Phil Bardsley, and I'm going to drop a name here, he was sat with Sir Alex Ferguson", Walters said.

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke had reported Ferguson has reportedly tipped Liverpool to win this season's Premier League title. It's a make-up match against the Red Devils and it will come just days after facing Tottenham twice in the span of four days, including once in the Champions League - steam those matches via fuboTV (Try for free).

Meanwhile, Manchester United are now occupying fifth position on the Premier League standings with 64 points after 33 games.

Only two points separate Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table, though the former have a game in hand and can therefore make up the deficit in the remaining games. Both are still in the Champions League, which is another priority of theirs.
