Kroos has made a decision to go straight to the source and categorically deny his intention to leave this summer by admitting that the information was absolutely false.

Zidane said: 'Toni is a key player.

Spanish media links Madrid to interest in Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard and Paris Saint-Germain forwards Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. They are planning on offloading a number of players also.

While Los Blancos have had a disappointing season, the return of Zinedine Zidane at the helm of the managerial post will no doubt keep many of Madrid's star players at the club for the following campaign. He has been here for five years and he has done very good things, he is very good. I've always liked him.

Well, it looks like Kroos has no intention of exiting the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of the season and took to Twitter to dismiss the report as "Absolutely false information".

Squad. "The players don't know what will happen, I haven't spoken to them, there's time for that". How I want it to be done, that some things will be done, we will see at the end.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale is among the high-value Madrid players to have struggled for form this season.

Zidane would not be drawn on Bale's long-term future either, though, only saying he is expected to play an important role in the closing weeks of a season that is petering out for Madrid.

Zidane said of Bale: 'There are seven games left. "I wanted to see other players, it has nothing to do with it".
