Solskjaer: The memory of the PSG comeback will help Man United's players

"He's a Barcelona player", Solskjaer stated.

The 30-year-old has struggled to hit top form since signing for United in January 2018 and, even though several injuries have hampered his progress, a haul of five goals in 41 appearances represents a miserable return.

Sanchez left Barcelona for the Premier League in 2014 in search of a more prominent role after being squeezed out by the arrival of Neymar at the Camp Nou and with Luis Suarez soon to complete a fearsome front three alongside Lionel Messi.

The splash on Sanchez's contract also threatens to cost the club dearly, either in lucrative new deals, or losing some of their best players.

"He's not had a fantastic season so far", said Solskjaer of Sanchez. We know we can score goals from set pieces; we're bigger than them [in terms of height].

The Manchester United squad to face Barcelona in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final has been revealed. "Let's hope Alexis, when he's on the pitch, he can be happy with his performance". "We have to take a deep breath and take those chances".

Belief: Belief is massive in football. everyone's got talent, a certain ability to play, but we've seen ourselves against PSG that we can come back from being 2-0 down against a fantastic team.

"Games are decided on mentality and that changed their mentality: they started worrying. If we get the first goal it would be so important".

"If you don't look forward to working for this club then that's wrong". Sometimes it is luck, sometimes it is David at the other end saving.

This time, Solskjær suggested, United have a physical advantage and will field a taller team than Barcelona but he insisted that would not dominate their approach. We weren't good enough at home. We put in many, many, many crosses but Gerard Piqué and Clement Lenglet defended really well so that might not be the way to break through.

But Solskjaer is aware for all his talk of tactics and when would be ideal to score that it will be redundant if his players do not step up, particularly in attack. It's not that long ago and we're one goal better off.
