Four terror suspects held at Luton Airport

UK's counter-terror police have arrested four Sri Lankan men at Luton Airport in London, suspected of membership of a proscribed organisation contrary to the Terrorism Act. Police say the investigation is continuing.

Four men have been arrested moments after they arrived in Luton Airport on board an worldwide flight.

A spokesman said: "Police at the airport were made aware of the men the next day, Thursday April 11 and subsequently stopped them under schedule seven of the Terrorism Act 2000".

They arrived on Wednesday night and were taken into custody before being questioned at a police station in Bedfordshire.
