Tamil actor and politician JK Rithesh passes away

Actor and politician JK Rithesh (46) passed away today due to a massive cardiac arrest.

According to TV reports, the "Nayagan" actor complained of severe chest pain during an election campaigning in Ramanathapuram. He was 46 years old.

Born in Sri Lanka in 1973, JK Rithesh moved to India at the age of 3 and settled down in Rameshwaram where he spent his formative years. After completing Diploma in Civil Engineering, he turned to acting, debuting with the Chinni Jayanth-directorial Kaanal Neer. Rithesh played a negative role in LKG, which had RJ Balaji and Priya Anand in the lead roles. He won from the Ramanathapuram Lok Sabha constituency from the DMK ticket in 2009. Despite their best efforts, those treating him failed to save his life. Thereafter, he acted in Naayagan and Pen Singam and tried consolidating his position in Kollywood. My deepest condolences to his wife and kids. I pray God to give them strength at this tough time. "I hope they find strength.let's all take a min to mourn for him and may his soul rest in peace. god bless you wherever you are sir. u were an wonderful soul". He died of a heart attack sometime back in #Ramanathapuram.
