Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp down worldwide

Facebook is now facing a global outage.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, all of which are owned by Facebook, are experiencing technical issues affected millions of people around the world.

Facebook users are panicking as site appears to be down.

According to traffic-monitoring website DownDetector, the outage was first noticed at 6:28 a.m. EDT.

Starting from 4:00 pm, Facebook on desktop stopped working and has been fluctuating ever since.

It is unclear at this stage what has forced the latest outage.

The last major outage was on 14 March 2019 where Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Oculus platforms are down worldwide. Facebook had to turn to Twitter to inform users of the downtime.
