"The 54-year-old hip hop legend posted an Instagram photo of himself and his daughter Saturday, in which she displayed an admissions packet from the elite college emblazoned with a "#IGotIntoUSC" sticker. In a somewhat trolling caption, he wrote, "My daughter got accepted into USC all on her own".

Dre took the opportunity to set the record straight regarding his daughter's admission process.

Some users on social media pointed out that Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, in 2013 donated $70 million to USC with music industry entrepreneur Jimmy Iovine. Even though the two young women have dropped out of college because of vicious bullying fears, school officials are looking at the possibility of banning them from their college campus because they are two "disruptive individuals".

Dre's "no jail time" comment was a jab at the 50 people charged earlier this month in the largest college admissions cheating scandal in USA history.

Among those arrested were actress Lori Loughlin and her designer husband Mossimo Giannulli who are accused of paying $500,000 to get their two daughters into USC as fake rowing recruits.

Olivia was allegedly aboard a yacht owned by USC Board of Trustees Chairman Rick Caruso when the scandal broke.

USC is one of several schools now caught up in the college admissions scandal involving wealthy parents who paid significant amounts of money to William "Rick" Singer and his companies The Key Worldwide and The Edge in order to ensure that their children were accepted into higher-tier schools.

More than half the 32 parents charged were trying to bribe their children's way into USC.
